3.25.09 - MUFE #92

I picked this up with Smoky Lash Mascara and some Clinique Scruffing Lotion 3.5 for the hubby, to get the Philosophy Miracle Workers trial kit and free shipping from Sephora.

I haven't used the Philosophy, because I stopped at the Clinique counter, to see what they suggested for my splotchy cheeks and clogged up pores on my chin. She said the pores weren't bad enough to need a "pore minimizer" but she suggested I use the Redness Solutions Cleanser & Cream for 2 weeks and see how my cheeks were. That was Saturday and I've used it every morning & night since then and I LOVE IT!!! I've been wearing just a tinted moisturizer (tiral) and some powder and picked up some full size for the summer. And my chin even looks cleared!

Today I tried Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Liquid Foundation & Powder and I actually picked the right match! (Light 2) It goes on beautifully and covers my problems (which since the Clinique, my cheeks aren't as bad but it covered my acne scars well, too). I used a damp wedge sponge to apply it... I really want to pick up the BeautyBlender, but the Duo w/ Cleanser is sold out on Sephora, and it's the best deal, so I will wait.

Tonight I did a quick look with the MUFE #92 and my Stila Red Carpet Look Palette, which I LOVE.

1.22.09 - Going to Wal-Mart

Brad decided he wanted to run down to Wal-Mart and take the trash. My mom works in the town, and their business has a dumpster, so instead of paying for trash pick-up, we just take it there. :o) He needed some 9V batteries for his new lights, for his RC Truck. Yes, he's putting lights on it *rolls eyes*.

Anyways, I wanted a quick, simple, look, but ended up with this. This was my first time wearing any Dame Edna lippie, and while I just went to Wal-Mart, I like it! A few people seemed to look at me, but didn't see any double takes, or stares, so it couldn't have been that bad! A guy even came up to me, while looking at hair ties, and asked if he could ask me a question. I feel bad now, because, at first, I didn't want to talk to him, but I did say "yes" and kept looking at the hair ties. The reason I was so hesitant, is a while back, while shopping alone (Brad was nearby this time) a guy came up and was talking about some trip he was taking and his class was selling magazines to help pay for it, etc. If I want a magazine, I'll go buy one, sorry dude. Anyways, the guy today asked if you could use eyeliner pencil, on your face. Well sure you can, silly! I didn't say it like that, but then he was asking if they came in different darknesses. Well, as far as Drug Store Eyeliner, I like the CoverGirl one you don't have to sharpen, but it was $5 and change and he needed 5! It was apparently for a 'game' and he had a bunch of shaving cream and other stuff in the cart. So, I found him the $0.93 NYC ones. Unfortunately the darkest they had was Charcoal, no Jet Black, but he figured it would work. Oh, and I didn't find the hair ties I wanted. I wanted big thin dark brown ones, they only had the thick ones. I like the thick ones when I want a pony, but like to keep the thin ones on my wrist for when my hair is down and it starts to bother me. They don't leave as big of a line in my hair, haha.

Okay, so I lied, but with recent "you know what forum you are" postings... I feel the need to wear all MAC. (Crap, I forgot my Brow Gel is BE... guess I better get a MAC one before posting this look on Specktra... oh and my brow powder, but it's in the mail.) :o)

I think you know what I mean. Just kinda ticks me off... Specktra has been acting up A LOT for me, lately, and I just love the girls at MM, so that's why I post there. I still have TONS of BE and it'd be hard for me to get rid of it. Really, I'm connected and I still love it, but there's A LOT of work to get those pots to look like what they do inside, to your eye. I just don't always have time for that. And no, I'm not sorry!

I was totally going to do a Halloween look, however my future sister-in-law and neices showed up for Trick-or-Treating, way earlier than I expected. That's okay, though, I'll do it tomorrow and my friends will enjoy it for Rock Band 2. :o)
